Saturday, 10/22-> Back to Contraband

Yes, I came back to Contraband. Nathan, the manager, saw my negative Yelp review and reached out to me. He...is...awesome! He apologized, offered me a couple free drinks, and said he would speak with the barista because he knew who the guy who was wasn't that friendly during my first visit. Nathan also told me that their prices are a bit higher than other places because they use organic ingredients in their syrups, which they make fresh. I LOVED that point! Can't stand fake-tasting syrups (and fake ingredients). Really impressed with this point!

Anyway, I was craving the rosemary sage latte so I had to come back. WOW! Amazing (free) latte and great service. I was super excited because a barista I used to see at Reveille on Columbus (Michael) works here now instead of there. He makes excellent almond milk lattes (lattes, in general) and is always super chatty and fun. We recognized each other and started chatting again. He made today's latte perfectly. Guess I am a true coffeeholic when I start seeing the same baristas at other coffee shops I frequent (this is the second time this has happened in the last month).

New favorite coffee shop in San Francisco. Watch out Saint Frank...you have some competition! (Though, they're both delicious in their own way so I really wouldn't want to choose the best between the two).
