Tuesday, November 1st -Coffee in Tustin, CA!

Decided to check out Portola Coffee Roasters in Tustin this past Saturday because I was visiting the area and wanted coffee while shopping with my mom and sister.

I was super excited because the latte art looked legit and it got great reviews on Yelp so I thought people must love it.

Anyway, I got in line and holy cow...it took 20-35 for me to order and receive my drinks. The place wasn't packed but they were definitely understaffed since one person was on break (he came back as I got my drinks...figures...)

I ordered an almond milk vanilla latte and was super excited because they make their own vanilla but honestly, my drink was bitter and, aside from the latte art (mine was kinda shoddy looking), the drink was eh...my sister ordered a non fat latte and thought it was eh as well and she's not even super into coffee! Her latte art was cuter but screw latte art when the drinks taste terrible.  The espresso is definitely overly roasted which is why it tastes bitter; I'm sure they burned my almond milk as well so that's why it was even more harsh to drink.  The vanilla cut the bitterness a little but not enough to make a difference.

With the long wait and crappy espresso beans, I definitely won't be coming back to Portola Coffee Roasters.
