Yesterday, I had the pleasure of trying Inklings in Pleasanton. To be honest, I wasn't expecting that much because I was "in mourning" over the fact that Cafe 4 is closed on Saturdays. Anyway, while in Pleasanton, I was "pleasantly" surprised(hehe) by my lavender almond milk latte.
Before coming here, I perused some Yelp reviews and many commented about how great the coffee is as well as how this place is definitely the best coffee in that area...and they were right about the taste.
My lavender almond milk latte was lightly sweetened and there was no bitterness. I haven't tried a lavender latte before so I'm not sure how it is supposed to taste but I enjoyed this beverage. It didn't taste too much like lavender but it paired nicely with the almond milk.
I will likely come back here since I have a friend in the area but...obviously Cafe 4 is still da bomb! So that trumps any other coffee spot...when it is open, of course.
Come to Inklings if you're in Pleasanton or Dublin; great coffee,. cute indoor and outside seating and a chill vibe. It doesn't have the hipster feel since this is still in Pleasanton but the vibe is more small town, which was refreshing after coming from the Peninsula.
