Saturday, July 30th and Sunday, July 31st

As the weekend draws to a close, I can't help but be excited to report on one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in the Bay: Four Barrel Coffee.

I came here earlier today to meet my cousin, who was finishing the Half Marathon... And by the way, congratulations to those who ran the Half and the Full Marathons today in San Francisco!

Anyway, I really get sad when I only hear Blue Bottle as the San Francisco staple to visit.  So today's post is about why Four Barrel Coffee is worth visiting over Blue Bottle:

I already reported on how good their coffee beans are so I'm not going to mention those again.  Their espresso, is fantastic as well!  What makes this place so cool, though, is that they half high quality coffee and espresso beans AND they freaking know how to brew them withany kind of milk.  I came here on a whim back in June and was amazed by how amazing their almond milk lattes are; I didn't need to add any sweetener. It was perfect.

Like most coffee shops in the city, their establishment is usually packed, not because they have free WiFi (they don't by the way), but because the place is pretty spacious and open and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have an urban contemporary vibe here and if you just want a quick cup of coffee, on the weekends, they have a station by the door where you can grab some and not have to wait in the usually line, which can be long at times.

The employees are super chill as well; I have been here quite a few times and really like whoever I encounter.  And the BEST part about Four Barrel is that they are consistent with how they brew their coffee and espresso beverages!  I can't say this about every coffee shop I have been to but I can say that about Four Barrel, which means they train their baristas well and live up to their name.

Definitely stop by; it's a great spot to meet a friend, meet a date, or just come on your own and read a book.  I know I'll keep coming back!

Overall Rating: 6/5 ;)
