Sunday, November 6th ->Wildcraft Espresso Bar

Saw the great reviews about Wildcraft Coffee so definitely wanted to check it out.

First point: the service is fantastic.   The barista who made my drink was pretty chill, we sparked up a conversation, and he just gave the place a good vibe.  No pretention.

The layout of the place is bright and cute but there is only one table inside and a small bench outside so plan on getting YouTube erage to go, unless these seating areas are open.  I came around 3pm on a Sunday and had no problem with seating as the weather was nice so most people were it and abaoit (and it is Castro so when you're in the area, that's basically what you do: walk around and people watch :) ).

As for the coffee, they're known for using sheep's milk in their beverages but they also have soy and almond milks.  I got the usual almond milk latte and the presentation was pretty cute.  Black ceramic mug on a cute tiny wooden tray.  The taste was okay, though.  Similar to other coffee shops I've been to where the almond milk latte is slightly burned/bitter.  I ended up having to add sugar but that didn't cut the bitterness, sadly.  Latte art was okay, too.  Nothing special.

I really wanted to like this place but I'm guessing the great Yelp reviews are for the beverages with sheep's milk, not almond milk. I give props to the baristas for being friendly but I probably won't return.

Overal Rating: 3/5 (for the service)
