Today's review is all about Reveille, but not the Reveille in Castro...the Reveille in North Beach!  

Let me say that I love Reveille in Castro because 1. their location is pretty damn good and 2. it's great for people watching (really attractive people come here).  BUT, I have encountered pretension here from some barista people and the space seems rather cramped, even though they have some outdoor seating.  Compared to their other location, though, Reveille on Castro cannot compare.  Allow me to explain...

The Reveille in North Beach is fun, chill, and their lattes are SOLID.  I had the pleasure of coming here twice this past week for peanut butter toast and jam and I decided to have their almond milk latte because it pairs nicely with the toast (even though the other location' almond milk latte usually sucks, aside from the latte art).  Anyway, I have had bad luck getting peanut butter toast this entire week!  During the week, the Columbus location shuts down its kitchen at 3:30pm AND on weekends, their kitchen shuts down at 2pm. Clearly I missed out both times and when I went to the Castro location today, lo and behold their power was out.  wah wah...

Enough about toast, though. This review is supposed to be about coffee, right? lol Anyway, I ordered a vanilla almond milk latte to ward off my sorrows for not getting toast and WOW! So...smooth (not bitter)...perfectly sweetened....beautiful latte art...and the barista was so fun and sweet.  The teapot for the tea is so cute, too! I'm sure this is done at all locations but loved it! He was there both times I came this past week and he rocks!  I could also tell that the crowd that comes here is also rather chill...and they're people who know good coffee and good tea.  I think this location is also fun for people watching as well because it's on a pretty busy corner in North Beach. It's also very bright and welcoming.  I feel like the other location is rather dark.  I'm curious to try their Mission Bay location as well, but that will be for another post ;)

Anyway, long story short. LOVE Reveille in North Beach and will be returning soon...hopefully before 3:30pm during the week and 2pm during the weekend.  I smell a piece of delicious toast with PB and jam alongside a vanilla almond milk latte waiting for me to dive in!
