Today's post is about Timeless Coffee and for those of you who know me, you're aware that the East Bay has most of my favorite coffee spots. So I came to Timeless Coffee last year when I was still trying to do the vegan thing and was craving a solid almond milk latte and a delicious vegan peanut butter cake. Anyway, I was NOT disappointed.
The coffee here is fantastic. It's an all vegan cafe so they only use soy and almond milks in their beverages and all of their pastries are vegan as well.
I am not sure what they do with their brewing methods but they are fantastic and are very consistent with how they steam their milk, which always makes for a delicious almond milk latte (I've been here a couple times since my first trip and have enjoyed my latte every time). Their almond milk lattes are so smooth with a very balanced milk and espresso pairing; I don't even have to add any sweetener. I have not tried their coffee beans but because their espresso is really rich, strong, and very high quality, I'm tempted to purchase some next time I am in the area. NOTE: I last came here with a friend who is not vegetarian/vegan and she enjoyed her pastry (it was one of the fake cheese pastries) and a soy latte. So I think this place is for anyone who enjoys good coffee and wants to try some vegan treats.
In addition, I love peanut butter and their vegan peanut butter cake is pretty good. When I was almost vegan, this place was heaven for me, but now that I am vegetarian, I don't usually come here for my peanut butter fix. I think the cake is tasty but rather dense and after a couple bites, I was done. I think overall, the frosting was kinda off. I feel like with some vegan desserts, the substitutions that are made are usually not always on par. I think the cake is worth trying once, but I think 1-2 bites is enough and when I really like a peanut butter treat, I'm usually all about finishing it.
Overall, for coffee, I would give this place a 5/5. Go here, now!
