I went too illy on Wednesday of this week when I was on Union Street in San Francisco.  I've had illy coffee before in Chicago and I enjoyed it. The experience at the Union St. location, though, was not-so-memorable...

Let's start with the good:

• great location in the heart of Union Street
• nice work space
• great for people watching
• cute glasses for coffee if you drink it there

Okay....now the bad:

• really terrible espresso beans...I remember liking their espresso in Chicago but was confused after consuming my beverage here.
• the almond milk latte sucks...super bitter, not flavorful....no amount of sugar would take away the bitterness and, as mentioned above, the flavor of the espresso was gross.
• I couldn't even finish my drink because I was so disappointed.

Overall, I'm glad I tried this coffee shop. I've noticed it several times as I usually frequent Union Street but I'm so NOT going back.
